End of Term 3, 2026 Newsletter

A message to parents and guardians from the Senior Principal — closing the year, celebrating Koiwa's elevation to a national school, and looking ahead to 2027.

15th October, 2026

Dear Parent / Guardian,

RE: END OF TERM 3, 2026 NEWSLETTER

Greetings

Receive many greetings from Koiwa Boys' Senior School. We thank God for His care and providence. To our great parents, guardians and sponsors, we wish to take this opportunity to say thank you for your prayers and financial support.

Opening and closing dates

The school closed on Thursday, 15th October 2026 and will open on 5th January 2027, with all students expected to be in school by 1:00 p.m.

School change of status. We are proud to share that the school's status has been elevated from a C2 (Extra-County school) to a C1 (National School). We thank the Ministry of Education for this recognition, which has far-reaching benefits for the school. As a national school, our fee structure now follows the Ministry of Education guidelines for national schools (below).

Parents are asked to observe the school fees payment policy of 70% on opening day and 30% after the mid-term break. Timely payment of fees keeps our school programmes running well for the benefit of all our learners. Full details are on the Fees & Bursaries page.

Academic programmes

The academic programme went on well, with students sitting examinations of different kinds — Grade 10 SBA and project (KNEC), Form Three WISNET examinations, and Form Fours sitting their KCSE examinations. Marking and release of results is in progress, and communication will be done in due course. Dates for academic days, mid-term and the AGM will be communicated later.

School projects

The school has completed a number of projects, including the Legacy Dormitory. The three CBE classes are bound to be completed by December 2026, and a multi-purpose hall project will kick off in 2026/2027.

Students' discipline

Our students' discipline is commendable. However, there are a few students whose mannerisms and behaviour are worth checking and counselling, to enhance good character and moral development. Parental involvement in discipline is instrumental.

School uniform

Kindly ensure that your son has the right school uniform and sufficient personal effects. We ask you to support your child so that he can have an enabling environment to learn.

December holiday

Being a long holiday, kindly advise your son constantly and check his movements to avoid bad company and peer pressure. As the Koiwa family, we wish you a happy Christmas holiday and a happy New Year 2027.

Yours in service,

Mr. Isaac K. Seret

Senior Principal
